Welcome Brayden Aaron!!!

Well, as most everyone knows that on July 24th, 2009 we were supposed to welcome a baby girl into our family...well God had another plan, lol.

I went to the hospital at 6am to be induced that day. Things went very well and at 12:01pm we got an unexpected, but very welcomed surprise. If I could go back, I would have LOVED for someone to record the event because it was priceless (well, it was anyways). This is how the conversation went...

Aaron (to me): It's a boy

Me: No its not

Aaron: Yes...Its a boy

Me: Oh my God!!!

Then the doctor held up his bottom half to prove to me that is was, and well, I have NO CLUE how the ultrasound tech missed that! 2 ultrasounds and they both totally missed that my little girl was in fact a BOY! It took us a while to get over the shock and start saying "him" or "he" instead of "her" and "she", lol. He came out of the birth canal too quick which caused him to have a lot of bruising on his face (pushed out in about 5 minutes). The brusing went away rather quick but in a lot of the pics when he is first born he is really blue.

So anyways...Brayden Aaron Martin was born on July 24th, 2009 at 12:01pm weighing in at 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches long. He is very handsome and reminds me of his big sister, just not as chunky in the face (or body). They were very close in weight, but they store it very differently :)

A note from Mommy

Well, here we go! Not much has been going on around here, just getting ready as much as we can. Kamryn has no idea what is in store for her, but there is not a whole lot we can do to prepare her for her new role as big sister. I think she is going to do great...she is so intrigued by little babies. Well, we are going to find out very soon! For those who don't know, I will be induced this coming Friday. Brittyn's birthday is going to be July 24th, unless she decides to be super stubborn (I guess we will wait and see).

I am very excited to meet my super active little girl. The one who has hiccups at least 2 times a day, moves around like crazy and has made it clear that she is not her sister. I wonder if she will look like Kamryn. If she will have brown or blue eyes, brown or sandy blonde hair, chunky cheeks and legs, if she will look more like Aaron or me or just a great combo. I have so many dreams for her already, just as I do for Kamryn. This pregnancy has gone by sooo quick and now I am ready to meet Brittyn and enjoy the journey of raising 2 beautiful little girls.

I will post after we get home with pictures and such so that everyone may see our new addition!
